Great Ouseburn Primary School is seeking to appoint a part time SEND Teaching Assistant to join our friendly, inclusive and supportive team. The hours would be 8.30am - 4pm Monday to Wednesday.
The role is to support an enthusiastic, hardworking, funny and interested child in Year 4. The role will involve working in and out of the classroom.

The Role
As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the class teacher, the SENDCo and wider school staff to provide tailored support for this specific child who has an EHCP. This may include supporting learning in and out of the classroom, delivering targeted interventions, promoting independence, supporting communication and social development, and helping children to engage fully in school life. Further information can be shared confidentially if required.
You will play a vital role in helping children develop confidence, resilience and a love of learning.

Previous experience of working with children with SEND would be welcomed, but equally important is a positive attitude, a willingness to learn and a commitment to making a difference to children's lives.
