Job Title: Semi Trailer Mechanic (Service Technician)

Position Overview
Legacy Staffing is seeking a skilled and dependable Semi Trailer Mechanic (Service Technician) on behalf of an industrial services client. This role is responsible for repairing, maintaining, and servicing semi-trailers to ensure safe and efficient operation. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical knowledge, hands-on experience with heavy-duty equipment, and the ability to diagnose and resolve issues across multiple trailer systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Repair and replace trailer components, including:
- Brake systems (air brakes, ABS)
- Suspension systems
- Axles and wheel bearings
- Lighting and wiring systems
- Landing gear and coupling systems
- Perform structural repairs on trailer frames and panels, including welding and fabrication
- Conduct preventative maintenance and routine inspections
- Use diagnostic tools to identify mechanical and electrical issues
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; technical training preferred
- Experience working with semi-trailers or heavy-duty equipment
- Knowledge of air brake systems and trailer components
- Welding and fabrication skills preferred
- Ability to operate diagnostic tools and repair equipment
