Position Details

Position Details:

• Drivers will make deliveries of pet supplies in pre-loaded dry van trailers from the DC in Reno, NV to Petco stores in CA, NV, UT, WY, MT, and ID

• 70% of deliveries are in CA. CA deliveries will be north of Visalia and go all the way to the border of OR

• Driver is required to cross Donner Pass on a regular basis

• At the receiver, driver is required to offload pallets of freight with an electric pallet jack

• Some locations also require the use of lift gates

• Driver is required to pick up backhauls as needed to be taken back to Reno, NV

Special Requirements:

• Driver must be willing and able to chain as weather dictates

• Chaining can occur an average of 5 times a week during winter months

• Driver will be outsourced to other DCS accounts on a weekly basis

Truck Info:

• Automatic sleeper trucks
• Trucks are assigned
• Truck can be taken home for time off if the driver lives within 50 miles

This position is paid an hourly rate for all hours worked plus an activity-based bonus payment. The activity-based bonus payment is the sum of your eligible activity pay less your base hourly earnings for the week.

• Drivers in this position over the last six to twelve months have averaged annualized earnings of $89,000.
• $5,000 sign-on bonus for a limited time
• Holiday pay per day: $200
• Hourly rate: $18 per hour

ACTIVITY-BASED BONUS COMPONENTS

• Cent per mile rate: $0.68 - $0.72
• Stop pay: $38 per stop
• Outsource pay: $100-$325 per day
• Safety training: $20 per hour
• New hire training period: $250 per day
• Frequent home time
