Position Details

Position Details:

• Picking up preloaded trailers containing batteries and cells from the Interstate Battery DC and delivering them to various distribution centers.

• The driver will reload the trailers with battery cores to return to the DC.

• Routes will vary each week, so the driver needs to be flexible.

• No Touch Freight - live unloaded by the customer.

• The driver will ensure the load is secure and safe for travel after all stops.

• Responsible for signing and completing all paperwork to the customer's standards associated with deliveries and returns.

• Drivers will be required to scale loads.

• Safety and on-time service are top priorities.

• Assisting other DCS and Intermodal accounts if Interstate volume is low will be required.

Additional Details:

• Professional appearance and high level of customer service expected.

• Uniform shirts provided

• Steel toe boots are required. Either provided by the account or the driver will be reimbursed for purchase.

• Manager is on-site.

• Trucks are assigned.

• Trucks must be left at the account during time off.

Job Details:

• $0.69 - $0.71 per mile

• Detention pay: $20 per hour

• Live load/unload: $30 per stop

• Canadian load: $200

• Holiday pay per day: $310

• Safety training pay per hour: $20

• New hire training pay: $225 per day

• Drivers in this position over the last six to twelve months have averaged annualized earnings of $90,000

• $10,000 sign on bonus for a limited time!

• $1,300 minimum weekly pay guarantee for the first 6 weeks

• Weekly home time
