Position Details

Position details:

• Delivering canned vegetables from Angola NY to Jersey City NJ. The backhaul will pick up either in Edison NJ or Macungie, PA and return to Angola NY.
• Dedicated lane with long standing customer
• Consistent round trip routes, no change or interruption allows for better home life and planning
• The account runs round trip miles. One week, the driver will have 2 round trips totaling approximately 1600 miles. The next week, 3 round trips totaling approximately 2400 miles.
• 2 round trip weeks: Monday (Angola NY to NJ), Tuesday (NJ to Angola NY), Wednesday (Angola NY to NJ), Thursday (NJ to Angola), Friday (reload in Angola NY in the morning, then off time).
• 3 round trip weeks: Sunday afternoon (Angola to NJ), Monday (NJ to Angola), Tuesday (Angola to NJ), Wednesday (NJ to Angola), Thursday (Angola to NJ), Friday (NJ to Angola).
• Guaranteed volumes
• Responsible for load securement after loading (only 1 strap)
• Live customer load/unload as well as drop and hook (about 50/50)
• No touch freight

Special Requirements:

• The driver for this position will act as a support driver for other DCS accounts in the area. The person filling this driver need must be flexible with their schedule and willing to work where needed.

Additional Information:

• Sleeper tractors
• Riders are not permitted.
• Trucks need to remain at the account during time off.
• Account manager is not onsite
• Uniforms are not required

• Weekly salary: $1,250

• Holiday pay: $250 per day

• Training pay: $950 per week
