Allied Universal is hiring a Security Trainer. The Security Trainer is responsible for conducting training activities in accordance with local, state, and federal laws and regulations, as well as Allied Universal standards. This Security Trainer will train CPR/First Aid/AED, Defensive Tactics (e.g., handcuffs, pepper spray, batons, Tasers, firearms), Mobility Devices (e.g., vehicles, bicycle, golf cart, Segway), Fire Safety Services (emergency plans; occupants, floor wardens and staff presentations; and evacuation drills), and other value-added services such as workplace violence/active shooter training.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Account QUALIFICATIONS:
The following are the pre-employment qualification requirements for the Training Manager position:
o Completion of a Law Enforcement Academy; or
o DD Form 214 - Member Copy 4 or Member Copy 3 accepted.
o Security Screening Equipment: Certified in the operation of handheld magnetometers, walk-through magnetometers, and X-ray machines to identify and stop prohibited items from entering Judiciary facilities.
o Law: Knowledge of Constitutional Law, State Law, Search and Seizure, Evidence, and Arrest.
o Command Presence and Crowd Management: Recognition and understanding of command presence, working in large crowds, and the ability to provide direction to crowds.
o Emergency Medical Response: Certification in First Responder First Aid, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), Automated External Defibrillator (AED), and Stop The Bleed Training.
o Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA): Knowledge of the ADA and the proper handling of service animal issues related to entry into Judiciary facilities.
o Fire and Life Safety: Knowledge of fire detection, suppression, life safety, and evacuation.
o Defensive Tactics: Appropriate knowledge and understanding to apply acceptable defensive tactics, including Avoid, Deny, and Defend principles and Run (evacuation), Hide (cover and concealment), and Fight principles.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Instructor certifications in supplement training areas as required by local office (i.e., OC Spray, Baton Techniques, Handcuffing, Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI), Defensive Tactics, Taser certification, Practical Driver Training Courses, or any other client-specific training as required)
Must have a valid driver's license or be able to pass a state licensing test if driving a company-owned or client-provided vehicle
Minimum of two (2) years of classroom instructor experience
Ability to work independently with little to no direct supervision
Outstanding oral and written communication skills; ability to successfully interact at all levels of the organization, including with clients
Ability to write manuals, review, and respond to written requests for proposals, training documents, and prepare extensive presentations is required
Highly proficient and fully functional in Microsoft programs such as Word and PowerPoint and able to effectively utilize all available office management technology
Demonstrated ability to take initiative, successfully handle and prioritize multiple competing assignments and effectively manage deadlines
Professional, articulate, and able to use good independent judgment and discretion
