    Company ABF Freight Location Fort Smith, AR - Old Greenwood Campus Workspace On-Campus Pay Type Hourly, Full-Time Job ID 29254 Job Description The Security Technology and Engineering Specialist, Casual position requires a high degree of decision making as well as responsibility and oversees the creation, fabrication, and assembly of technology solutions and models to improve ABF Freight's threat prevention, ability to identify and address vulnerabilities and improvements as well as operational efficiencies. This position is also tasked with acquiring parts and devices, tracking and shipping the Security team's design vision for CCTV and surveillance solutions including contributing to the design, assembly, shipping, and logistics of the solutions as well as the feedback to help with planning for the development and implementation of the models and tools that will allow ArcBest's largest subsidiary, ABF Freight, to continue leading the industry in meeting the critical needs of our customers each day. Responsibilities Employ the latest in assembly and installation tools to enhance security protocols at ABF service centers and facilities.Develop, streamline, and manage the installation and assembly of prototypes and/or purchased technology of security solutions to meet the needs of service centers from conception to completion.Assemble solutions to company and government standards and coordinate the correct onsite permitting, if applicable, and any needed equipment.Order and maintain timelines for receiving items for projects large and small.Provide recommendations for necessary maintenance of the solutions provided as well as internal guidance on utilizing and maintaining equipment.Support and voice standards for assessment and design.Utilize knowledge and understanding of the quality process and install tools or technology to business cases.Develop and operate within a budget and goal setting process for assigned performance measurement systems, and ensure alignment is maintained with company and department goals.Support and assemble large complex initiatives which are critical to the security of the company.Ensure precision and accuracy on all installation and implementation plans.Provide department leadership with updated timelines and logistics of shipments.Identify and implement best practices to meet and exceed customer expectations.Maintain a positive attitude in a highly intense environment.Work in a team setting to accomplish departmental goals.Other duties and projects, as assigned.
