JOB SUMMARY:
The Security Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all physical security operations at Module X Solutions' manufacturing facilities. This position safeguards company assets, employees, contractors, and visitors by supervising security personnel, enforcing security policies and procedures, and maintaining effective access control and surveillance systems.
The Security Supervisor serves as a key resource during security incidents and emergencies and works closely with Operations, Human Resources, Environmental Health & Safety (EHS), and IT teams to maintain a safe, secure, and compliant working environment.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Security Operations & Personnel Management
- Supervise, schedule, train, and evaluate security personnel across multiple shifts.
- Conduct onboarding and ongoing training for security staff on company policies, security procedures, emergency response protocols, and compliance requirements.
- Ensure adequate staffing coverage to support facility operations and security needs.
- Monitor security officer performance and provide coaching, corrective action, and development as necessary.
- Serve as the primary point of contact during security incidents, emergencies, and after-hours security concerns.
Access Control & Surveillance
- Manage and enforce facility access control procedures, including employee badges, visitor management, gates, and restricted access areas.
- Monitor and maintain CCTV systems, surveillance equipment, and related security technologies to ensure proper operation and coverage.
- Conduct routine audits of access credentials and permissions, ensuring access levels remain appropriate and secure.
- Review surveillance footage as needed to support investigations and security assessments.
Incident Response & Investigations
- Investigate security incidents, thefts, unauthorized access events, workplace disturbances, accidents, and other security-related concerns.
- Prepare thorough and accurate incident reports and maintain documentation of investigations and corrective actions.
- Coordinate with local law enforcement, emergency responders, and external agencies when required.
- Identify security vulnerabilities and recommend corrective actions to mitigate risk.
Compliance & Risk Management
- Develop, implement, and enforce security policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Conduct routine security inspections, patrols, and audits of facilities, parking areas, perimeter fencing, and restricted locations.
- Support internal and external audits related to security compliance and risk management.
- Assist with emergency preparedness planning, drills, and business continuity initiatives.
- Ensure security operations comply with company policies and applicable regulatory requirements.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Human Resources on workplace investigations, employee relations matters, and terminations requiring security support.
- Collaborate with Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) personnel on emergency response planning, drills, and incident management.
- Work closely with Operations and facility leadership to address security risks and support business objectives.
- Provide regular updates and recommendations to management on security concerns, trends, and opportunities for improvement.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Work Experience:
· Minimum of 3 years of security experience required.
· Minimum of 1 year of supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
· Experience in a manufacturing, industrial, distribution, logistics, or similar operational environment strongly preferred.
· Experience conducting investigations and incident reporting preferred.
· Experience with access control systems, CCTV systems, and physical security technologies required.
Education:
· High School Diploma or GED required.
· Associate’s degree in criminal justice, Security Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
· Relevant military, law enforcement, or security certifications are a plus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee sometimes works near moving mechanical parts and is occasionally exposed to excessive noise, extreme heat, extreme cold, and heights. When participating in activities on the shop floor, the noise level in the work environment is typical for a fabrication shop and ear plugs may be used as necessary.
