Supervisor – Healthcare Security Officer
Location: Waterbury
Pay: $24.50/hour
Schedule: Swing (Evening/Overnight)

We’re hiring a Supervisor – Healthcare Security Officer in Waterbury to lead our security team and help maintain a safe, professional environment for patients, visitors, and staff.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise Healthcare Security Officers during evening and overnight shifts
• Oversee access control and ensure all post orders and procedures are followed
• Coordinate daily assignments, breaks, and coverage to maintain consistent security presence
• Monitor site activity and respond to incidents, alarms, and emergencies
• Conduct incident investigations and complete clear, detailed reports
• Provide coaching, guidance, and on-the-job training to team members
• Serve as the primary security contact for hospital/healthcare staff during assigned shifts
• Ensure high-quality customer service is delivered to patients, visitors, and staff
• Support compliance with company and site-specific policies and procedures

What We’re Looking For

• Must have prior security supervisory experience
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to direct and support a team
• Professional, calm, and confident demeanor, especially in high-stress situations
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
• Strong customer service focus and problem-solving ability
• Reliable, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities
• Able to stand, walk, and respond quickly throughout the shift

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in healthcare or hospital security
• Active state guard card/license (if required by state law)

Minimum Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Prior security supervisory experience (required)
• At least 18 years of age (or state minimum, if higher)
• Ability to pass background checks and any required screenings
• Eligibility to work in the U.S.
• Availability to work a swing schedule covering evening and overnight hours, including weekends and holidays as needed
