    Description

    Fibertek is seeking a Security Specialist (CSSO/GSSO) to support classified government programs at Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland. The successful candidate will oversee security operations within classified environments, ensuring compliance with Intelligence Community (IC), Department of Defense (DoD), and customer security requirements. This position serves as a key liaison between program personnel and government security offices while supporting secure facilities, personnel security processes, classified material management, and SCIF operations. The Security Specialist will help ensure mission success through effective security administration, regulatory compliance, and proactive risk management.

    Essential Job Duties

    • Manage daily security operations for classified environments and secure facilities.
    • Ensure compliance with applicable DoD, Intelligence Community, DCSA, and customer security requirements.
    • Serve as the primary point of contact with government security officials to resolve security issues and maintain program compliance.
    • Support SCIF operations and accreditation requirements in accordance with ICD 705 standards.
    • Conduct SCI, SAP, indoctrination, debriefing, and foreign travel briefings.
    • Manage personnel security actions including visit requests, clearance verification, access determinations, and security records maintenance.
    • Maintain accountability and control of classified materials including storage, transmission, reproduction, and destruction.
    • Operate and monitor physical security systems including access control and surveillance systems.
    • Conduct security self-inspections, internal assessments, and vulnerability reviews.
    • Support government inspections, audits, and accreditation activities.
    • Coordinate classified meetings, visitor control procedures, and secure facility access.
    • Maintain accurate security documentation, logs, reports, and personnel records.
    • Utilize government security systems including DISS, NISS, PSIP, JADE, SCATTERCASTLES, or equivalent systems.
    • Investigate, document, and report security incidents and assist with corrective actions.
    • Perform additional duties as assigned in support of secure program operations.
