SMI Security is Hiring – Overnight Security Officer
Location: Port of Miami – Cargo Side
Position: Overnight Security Officer
Schedule: Full-Time | 40 Hours Per Week
SMI is seeking a professional, dependable, and experienced Security Officer to work overnight at the Port of Miami Cargo Side. The officer will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment while monitoring the facility, access points, personnel, and cargo operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and control access to the cargo facility.
- Conduct routine patrols and security checks.
- Monitor vehicles, employees, vendors, and authorized personnel.
- Complete required daily activity and incident reports.
- Respond to security concerns and emergencies.
- Maintain communication with SMI dispatch and management.
- Maintain a professional security presence at all times.
Requirements:
- Valid Florida Security D License.
- Valid TWIC Card.
- Valid Florida Driver License.
- Must have your own reliable vehicle.
- Port Security does not allow drop-offs, Uber, Lyft, or other unauthorized transportation inside the Port.
- Must be able to pass all required Port security screening and credentialing.
- Must be dependable, professional, and able to work overnight hours.
