    Security Operations Center Support Representative

    Part-Time | Nights and Weekends
    Pay: $15.00 per hour

    Job Summary

    The Security Operations Center Support Representative is a key member of DSI’s Corporate Communications Center. This position manages incoming communications and provides timely support to field personnel, employees, clients, and company leadership.

    The representative receives and evaluates information, follows established procedures, coordinates appropriate notifications, and maintains accurate documentation. This role requires professionalism, sound judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to remain composed while managing multiple priorities.

    Selected candidates will complete a pre-employment skills assessment covering customer service, telephone etiquette, communication, and related job functions.

    Essential Responsibilities
    • Receive and respond to incoming calls, emails, system notifications, and other security-related communications.
    • Evaluate available information and follow established procedures to determine the appropriate response or escalation.
    • Notify or dispatch security personnel, supervisors, client representatives, or emergency services when appropriate.
    • Provide professional, customer-focused assistance to employees, officers, clients, and business partners.
    • Operate multiline telephone systems, email, and other digital communication and reporting platforms.
    • Maintain accurate activity logs, incident reports, supporting documentation, and shift pass-down information.
    • Report communication or security-system issues through the appropriate channels.
    • Protect confidential employee, client, operational, and security-related information.
    • Assist with special projects, system testing, process improvements, and other Corporate Communications Center responsibilities as assigned.
    Knowledge and Skills
    • Advanced computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office, email, and web-based platforms.
    • Ability to learn additional communication, reporting, and security-support systems used by the company.
    • Direct customer-contact experience, including experience handling difficult or time-sensitive situations.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
    • Ability to document information accurately, clearly, and concisely.
    • Strong judgment, attention to detail, organization, and multitasking skills.
    • Ability to remain professional and composed during urgent or challenging situations.
    • Experience in customer service, call-center operations, dispatch, security, alarm response, or a communications-center environment is preferred.

    Working Conditions and Schedule
    • Work is performed within DSI’s 24/7 Corporate Communications Center.
    • This is a part-time position primarily covering nights and weekends.
    • Scheduled hours may include overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays.
    • The position requires prolonged periods of sitting and using telephone, computer, and communications equipment.
