This is a FT position. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: - Completes required number of guard tours/patrols inside and outside campus.
- Effectively monitors patients who are determined to be a threat to themselves or others.
- Provides Forensic Education to corrections and law enforcement personnel, when appropriate.
- Monitors property for solicitors, vagrants and persons in unauthorized areas.
- Effectively responds to hospital codes.
- Enforces hospital parking regulations and issues parking reminders as required.
- Reports safety concerns, dangers, hazards, etc, as required.
- Completes required reports, logs and other documentation in a timely manner.
- Assists with maintaining Lost and Found log, logging and returning property, as necessary.
- All other job duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS: - High School Diploma/GED preferred
- Valid Driver’s Licensure & clean driving record
- Tennessee State certified and possess current security license required; or obtained within 6 months of hire date
- Current CPR (or obtain prior to the completion of orientation)
- Current CPI/De-escalation training (or obtain within 6 months of hire)
- Experience in security or law enforcement field preferred. Two years of related work experience preferred.
- The ability to communicate effectively with persons of various cultural and economic backgrounds required.
- Possesses minimum computer skills; Familiar with Microsoft programs
