Security Officers serve as the first line of protection for our clients' property, personnel, and assets. Successful candidates will maintain a visible security presence, observe and report suspicious activity, enforce site policies, and respond appropriately to incidents while providing exceptional customer service.This position is ideal for individuals who are dependable, observant, self-motivated, and capable of working independently in a professional environment.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesConduct regular foot and/or vehicle patrols of assigned propertyMonitor buildings, grounds, equipment, and access pointsObserve and report suspicious activities, safety hazards, and policy violationsComplete detailed incident, activity, and shift reportsRespond to alarms, disturbances, emergencies, and client requestsControl site access and verify authorization of visitors and contractorsMaintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all timesCommunicate effectively with clients, employees, emergency responders, and managementFollow all post orders, company policies, and client-specific proceduresMinimum RequirementsMust be at least 18 years of agePossess a valid driver's license and reliable transportationAbility to obtain and maintain a Utah Unarmed Security LicenseAbility to pass a criminal background investigationAbility to pass a drug screening if required by the clientStrong verbal and written communication skillsBasic computer and report-writing skillsAbility to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periodsAbility to work independently with minimal supervisionProfessional appearance and customer-service-oriented attitudeMust be dependable, punctual, and able to maintain consistent attendancePreferred QualificationsPrevious security, military, law enforcement, corrections, or public safety experienceExperience conducting patrols and writing incident reportsFamiliarity with access control and emergency response procedures
