As a Security Officer - Site Detection Monitor in Blythewood, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, support access control and badge procedures, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of manufacturing areas, exterior grounds, access points, parking areas, and the perimeter to help identify unusual activity and help deter unauthorized access.
• Monitor entry and exit activity, verify authorized access as directed, and report observations, hazards, and maintenance concerns to appropriate site contacts.
• Complete required reports, patrol logs, and incident documentation accurately and in a timely manner.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Have at least 2 years of law enforcement, military, and/or corrections experience.
• Experience using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
