As a Security Officer in Overland Park, KS, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol a technology, media, and telecommunications location, maintaining a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will conduct routine patrols, report observations, respond to security-related concerns, and provide exceptional customer service and clear communication. Pay Rate: $19.68 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, contractors, and data center personnel while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and policies.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, access points, exterior perimeter, loading areas, and parking areas to help identify unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access control systems, visitor activity, and alarm notifications; report irregularities and follow established escalation procedures.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, contacting appropriate site contacts and emergency responders as needed.
• Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift communications in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
