Job Description:
As a Security Officer Patrol Operations in Fort Walton Beach, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a dynamic aero and defense location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific procedures, following access control protocols, and supporting emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location.
- Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting details and communicating with site contacts and/or emergency personnel as appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, production areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify potential concerns and report security-related issues.
- Monitor entry and exit points, verify visitor and employee authorization as directed by site policies, and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas.
- Support daily operations by observing site conditions, reporting hazards and/or maintenance concerns, and assisting with security-related requests in accordance with Allied Universal standards and client procedures.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess 2 or more years of security-related experience.
- CPR certification is preferred.
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
- A guard card and/or license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
