Security Officer Part Time Unarmed - Bus Depot

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a government transportation location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, employees, and transit personnel while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random foot and mobile patrols of transit facilities, bus depots, parking areas, platforms, and surrounding perimeters to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access points, vehicle movement areas, and restricted locations; verify authorized entry in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical situations, and critical events in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and emergency responders as required.
• Complete accurate reports, maintain required logs, and communicate observations, incidents, and security-related concerns to site leadership and Allied Universal management.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
