Location: Kenly, NC 27542, USA
Pay Rate: $15.50 per hour
Schedule: Monday-Thursday 7am-3pm or Monday-Friday 2300-0600
Position Summary
The Security Officer is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment by monitoring premises, enforcing regulations, and responding to incidents in a professional and timely manner.
Responsibilities
• Conduct regular patrols of assigned areas to ensure safety and security.
• Monitor surveillance equipment and inspect buildings, access points, and perimeter to detect suspicious activity.
• Enforce access control policies and verify identification of visitors and employees.
• Respond promptly and appropriately to alarms, disturbances, and emergency situations.
• Document daily activities, incidents, and irregularities such as property damage or theft.
• Communicate effectively with law enforcement, emergency personnel, and management as required.
• Provide assistance and guidance to visitors and employees to promote a safe environment.
Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to observe, assess, and report security concerns accurately and professionally.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Availability to work various shifts, including nights and weekends.
• Prior experience in security or law enforcement is preferred but not required.
• Must comply with any state or local licensing requirements applicable in North Carolina.
