Security Officer II

Part of the Patrol Division, the Security Officer 2 plays an essential role in maintaining a secure environment by patrolling assigned areas, monitoring for suspicious activities, enforcing rules and regulations, and responding to calls for service and emergencies. The officer is also expected to handle more complex security challenges, serve as a lead during incidents, and report and document any occurrences that may pose a risk to safety or security.

Responsibilities:

Work Schedule: Per Diem Night Shift, hours are 10:45pm-7:15am

This position typically involves a combination of foot and vehicle patrols to maintain visibility and deter potential security threats. The officer is also expected to handle more complex security challenges, serve as a lead during incidents, and report and document any occurrences that may pose a risk to safety or security.

• Completes and maintains all competencies and trainings as required for role.
• High School Diploma - OR - GED - OR - Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of education

• Current Valid Driver's License
• IAHSS Advanced Level Certification (CAHSO) - Must be obtained within 12 months of hire/placement
• IAHSS Supervisor Level Certification (CHSS) - Must be obtained within 18 months of hire/placement
• BLS Certification
• IAHSS Basic Level Certification (CHSO) - Must be obtained within 6 months of hire/placement
