Security Officer I

This involves conducting thorough inspections of people, personal items, and vehicles to prevent unauthorized access, ensuring compliance with security protocols, and addressing security concerns promptly and effectively. Part of the Entrance Screening Division, the Security Officer 1 plays a critical role in maintaining the safety and security of the premises by screening individuals entering the facility.

Responsibilities:

Work Schedule: Full-Time Day Shift Position, Hours are 6:00am-2:30pm with every other weekend and every other holiday required. 

 

 

Part of the Entrance Screening Division, the Security Officer 1 plays a critical role in maintaining the safety and security of the premises by screening individuals entering the facility. This involves conducting thorough inspections of people, personal items, and vehicles to prevent unauthorized access, ensuring compliance with security protocols, and addressing security concerns promptly and effectively. The officer also monitors surveillance and weapons screening systems, provides wayfinding support and responds to emergencies or suspicious activities.

Qualifications: Education Requirements

• Completes and maintains all competencies and trainings as required for role.
• High School Diploma - OR - GED - OR - Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of education

Certification and Licensure

• BLS Certification
• IAHSS Basic Level Certification (CHSO) - Must be obtained within 6 months of hire/placement
• Current Valid Driver's License
