What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to staff, patients, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting details and communicating with appropriate personnel as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, entrances, common areas, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity, unsecured access points, and/or potential concerns.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity while following healthcare location protocols, helping to support an orderly environment for patients, staff, and/or guests.
- Assist with security-related calls for service, de-escalation support, and incident reporting while working in a dynamic healthcare setting with varying conditions and responsibilities.
Minimum Requirements:
- Hospital vaccinations are required.
- A minimum of 6 or more months of security-related experience is required.
- A guard card and/or license is preferred.
- The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
