Pay Rate: $22.06 / Hour

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to visitors, clients, and staff by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, access policies, and emergency response activities at a government health and family services location.
  • Screen visitors and belongings in accordance with established procedures, identify prohibited items, and direct individuals to appropriate service areas.
  • Respond to incidents, disruptive behavior, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
  • Monitor entry points and public areas for security-related concerns, help to deter unauthorized access, and maintain accurate visitor and incident documentation.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of designated interior and exterior areas, as assigned; working environments and conditions may vary by location.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
