Allied Universal is currently looking to hire a Security Guard for a Coffee roastery in Downtown, Manhattan.

• Workdays Available: Candidates should be flexible Sunday - Thursday

• Pay Rate $20.63 - $21.63/ Hour

As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Alarm Panel Monitoring in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer at a retail location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, monitor alarm panels, and support a welcoming customer experience. You will communicate professionally with shoppers and staff while responding to security-related concerns. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to customers, visitors, and/or employees while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail location, café areas, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe activity around the location, reporting unusual conditions, hazards, and policy violations to appropriate site contacts.
• Document patrols, incidents, and observations accurately and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site management.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Experience with alarm panels is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
