As a Security Officer Full Time Licensed Vehicle Patrol Driver in Wheaton, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Security Officer at a premier retail and mall location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, support access control, and provide exceptional customer service to visitors, tenants, and staff. This driving position offers the opportunity to represent Allied Universal's agile, reliable, and caring culture while delivering through teamwork and acting with integrity.

Pay Rate: $18.75 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, visitors, and/or employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail location, including common areas, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations, to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Observe and report suspicious activity, hazards, maintenance concerns, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Assist with access control, visitor direction, and traffic flow during normal operations, special events, and/or emergency situations.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
