As a Security Officer Full Time Act 235 Field Patrol in Malvern, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a financial institution location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for employees and visitors. You will communicate professionally, respond to concerns, and document observations while representing Allied Universal's agile, reliable, innovative, and people-first culture with integrity and teamwork.

Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $35.00 / Hour

• Age Requirement:

• All candidates must be at least 21 years of age at the time of application. This requirement is in accordance with [specific laws or regulations, if applicable].

• Act 235 Qualification (Pennsylvania Only):

• Candidates applying for positions in Pennsylvania must possess a valid Act 235 qualification. This certification is necessary for individuals who will be carrying a firearm as part of their job responsibilities.

• Experience Requirement:

• Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in law enforcement, military police, or corrections. This experience is essential to ensure that candidates are adequately prepared for the challenges of the role.

• Access Control/Badge Experience (B201)

Candidates should have prior experience with access control systems and badge management. This includes familiarity with issuing, tracking, and managing access badges for employees and visitors.

• Armed Guard Card/License (B203)

Candidates applying for security-related positions must possess a valid armed guard card or license as required by state regulations. Proof of certification must be provided during the application process.

• Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet (B204)

Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in using computers or tablets. This includes the ability to navigate software applications, manage emails, and utilize digital communication tools effectively.

• Customer Service Experience (B219)

Candidates should have a background in customer service, showcasing their ability to interact positively with clients and resolve issues efficiently. Relevant experience in a customer-facing role is preferred.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors at a financial institution by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner and communicate observations to appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior areas, entrances, parking areas, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, maintaining accurate logs and reporting unusual conditions.
• Complete required reports and shift documentation in a timely, professional manner.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 2 years of law enforcement, military police, or corrections experience.
• Act 235 qualification is required for positions in Pennsylvania only.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• An armed guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
