The Security Professional Branch Flex Officer will serve and safeguard clients across a wide range of industries, including healthcare, education, finance, retail, and more. In this role, you can expect to work 30-40 hours per week, offering steady income and opportunities for growth. Your schedule will vary week to week, based on a combination of manager-assigned shifts and those you pick up through our Earn More, Claim-A-Shift self-scheduling program. Shifts, days, locations, and assignments will change regularly, making this an ideal opportunity for individuals who are adaptable, dependable, and ready to take on new challenges. Please note that you will be assigned to work irregular shifts with little to no advance notice to support client needs.

Pay Rate: $20.88 / Hour

Pre-Employment Requirements:

• Age Requirement:

• Candidates must be at least 21 years of age to be considered for employment (C101).

• Driver's License:

• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with the AU Driver Policy Requirements (C123). Candidates must provide proof of a valid license during the application process.

• Branch Flexibility:

• Candidates must demonstrate the ability to work varying shifts, including holidays, nights, and weekends (C162). Flexibility in scheduling is essential to meet the operational needs of the branch.

• Reliable Transportation:

• Candidates must have reliable transportation to ensure punctuality and attendance (C163). This is crucial for maintaining operational efficiency.

• Travel Distance:

• Candidates should be aware of the travel distance to the branch location and must be willing to commute as necessary (C164). Proximity to the branch may be considered during the hiring process.

• Last Minute Shift Scheduling:

• Candidates must be prepared for last-minute shift scheduling (C165). The ability to adapt to sudden changes in scheduling is important for the role.

• 3.1 Access Control/Badge Experience (B201)

• Candidates should have prior experience with access control systems and badge management.

• Familiarity with security protocols and procedures related to access control is preferred.

• Candidates may be required to provide documentation or references verifying their experience.

3.2 Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet (B204)

• Candidates must exhibit proficiency in using computers or tablets for daily tasks.
• Familiarity with common software applications (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, email platforms) is essential.
• Candidates may be assessed on their technical skills during the interview process.

3.3 Customer Service Experience (B219)

• Candidates should have a background in customer service, demonstrating strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in handling customer inquiries, resolving issues, and providing support is required.
• Candidates may be asked to provide examples of past customer service experiences during interviews.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot or in vehicle
• Watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards
• Sound alarms or calls police or fire department in case of fire or presence of unauthorized persons
• Warn violators of rule infractions, such as loitering, smoking, or carrying forbidden articles
• Permit authorized persons to enter property and monitors entrances and exits
• Observe departing personnel to protect against theft of company property and ensures that authorized removal of property is conducted within appropriate client requirements
• Investigate and prepare reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities; maintain written logs as required by the post
• Aid customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous and professional manner
• Make emergency notifications as necessary pursuant to site Post Orders

Basic Qualifications:

• Must be available to work varying shifts, including holidays, nights, and weekends.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Must be available for last-minute shift scheduling.
• Must be able to travel required distances.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
