As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Truck Gate Experienced Unarmed Patrol in Jessup, PA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pre-Employment Requirements

1. Contractual Requirements

All candidates must meet the following pre-employment requirements:

• Security Experience:

Candidates must possess a minimum of one year of relevant security experience (C115). This experience is essential for ensuring the safety and security of our operations and personnel.

2. Additional Qualifications (Beneficial to Position)

While the following qualifications are not mandatory, they are highly beneficial and may enhance a candidate's application:

• Access Control/Badge Experience (B201):

Familiarity with access control systems and badge management is advantageous for roles that involve monitoring and controlling access to facilities.

• Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet (B204):

Proficiency in using computers or tablets is essential for various tasks, including reporting, communication, and data management.

• Customer Service Experience (B219):

Experience in customer service is beneficial, as many positions require interaction with clients, visitors, or the public, necessitating strong communication and interpersonal skills.

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Respond to incidents, delivery-related concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, promptly communicating relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the facility, loading areas, parking lots, access points, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry for employees, visitors, drivers, and vendors in accordance with site-specific procedures.
• Document patrol observations, incidents, and unusual conditions in clear, accurate reports and complete required shift activity logs.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
• Have access control and badge experience, preferred.
• Have customer service experience, preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
