As a Security Officer Armed - Full Time in Columbia, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Armed Security Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and respond professionally to evolving situations. This driving position requires a valid driver's license. You will support patients, visitors, and staff through exceptional customer service, clear communication, and teamwork while upholding Allied Universal's values of agility, reliability, innovation, caring, and integrity.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities within a healthcare setting.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, coordinating with appropriate hospital personnel and/or emergency responders.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, patient care areas, parking facilities, and surrounding grounds to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and restricted areas, verify authorized entry as required, and assist with visitor direction and wayfinding.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, patrol observations, and security-related activities in accordance with site policies and Allied Universal procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Have at least one year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• An armed guard card or license is preferred.
• The ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
