As an Armed Security Officer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the safety and security of multiple sites, ensuring a positive atmosphere for residents and visitors.
Key Requirements
- High school diploma or G.E.D. certificate required
- Must pass drug test and maintain a drug-free status
- Successful background check completion
- Authorization to work in the U.S. with valid proof
- Pass Physical Agility Test (PAT) and complete all required training
- Meet all relevant legal and contractual security requirements, including firearm possession eligibility
- Valid Indiana Driver’s License
- Strong communication skills in English, both oral and written
- Ability to remain alert, exercise good judgment, and handle emergency situations calmly
Primary Responsibilities
- Maintain order and protect people and property from harm or theft
- Conduct roving patrols and monitor premises vigilantly
- Report incidents, hazards, and found articles accurately in writing
- Respond promptly and effectively to alarms and emergencies
- Control access to facilities and verify identities of visitors and personnel
- Use communication devices and client property responsibly
- Employ personal defense tactics and de-escalation techniques when needed
