As a AirportSecurity Professional in Lihue, HI, you will safeguard the airport, staff, and it's facilities. Along with driving, patrolling, checking, and securing doors. As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal serving a government location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas to help to deter security-related incidents and maintain a secure environment for all visitors and staff. Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $22.50 / Hour with an hourly bonus of $3.93. The premium paid shall be based on the position actually worked by the employee.

Requirements:

  • Valid Driver's License (+1 years)
  • 21+ years of age
  • Ability to pass a background check, physical, and drug screening
  • Ability to pass a background check according to the DOT Pass and ID office

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to visitors, travelers, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities within a government transportation location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical events, and other critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while communicating with site contacts and/or public agency personnel as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout terminals, public areas, entrances, exits, checkpoints, parking areas, and the exterior perimeter to help to deter unusual activity and report concerns.
  • Monitor access points and restricted areas, observe pedestrian and vehicle activity, and document security-related incidents, hazards, and/or maintenance concerns according to site protocols.
  • Provide directions and general assistance to the public, support crowd management during busy travel periods, and follow post orders related to alarms, evacuations, and other emergency procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Certification in CPR and/or First Aid is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 20 years of age for unarmed roles; 22+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
