Conduct facility rounds checking all 3 floors and checking all outside doors to ensure they are secure
all entry doors 1st floor and office doors
all stairwells, hallways and bathrooms
Basement all areas and bathrooms, secure all doors
elevator area and stairwell
2nd floor offices and bathroom areas
Any other area advised
Maintain possession of communication device (walkie talkie/pager/cell phone) & security Wand
Check all clients and property – working directly with the peer support specialist
Secure the property by placing it in a bag and placing it in the client's locked locker or storage room.
Verifying that all clients walk through the metal detector and pass a wand inspection- verifying the client is free from weapons (Guns, knives, tasers, pepper spray, sticks, poles).
Verify no clients bring in any pets (Absolutely no pets allowed).
Verify no possession of any electronics no radio (No video game systems, No portable televisions, or DVD players or cell phones or pagers or headphones) is brought into the facility.
Monitor facility and maintain zero tolerance for stealing , Drugs or Alcohol or Drug paraphernalia, tobacco, lighters, vapes or pills.
Maintain a safe space for all clients and staff while on duty
Assist Peer Support and Resident Assistant with client movement
Uses trauma informed care principles to treat clients with dignity and respect
Respond to any code or crisis situation
Complete all new hire and annual training requirements
Other duties as assigned
