A leading global asset manager is seeking a Security Master Associate to support the integrity, accuracy, and governance of firm-wide reference data. This role is at the heart of the investment ecosystem—ensuring every trade, valuation, and report is built on clean, reliable data.

You’ll collaborate with front, middle, and back-office teams to maintain the security master database, overseeing instrument setup, data validation, and issue resolution across asset classes. For someone who thrives on precision and process ownership, this is a chance to play a mission-critical role inside one of the industry’s most data-driven investment platforms.

What You’ll Do

  • Maintain and validate security reference data for equities, fixed income, derivatives, and alternative instruments across multiple systems.

  • Set up and update new securities in the firm’s security master database with accurate identifiers, classifications, and pricing sources.

  • Partner with portfolio management, operations, trading, compliance, and technology teams to ensure consistent and accurate instrument data across platforms.

  • Research and resolve data breaks, exceptions, and corporate actions that impact portfolio reporting or accounting.

  • Reconcile data between internal systems and external vendors such as Bloomberg, Reuters, ICE, and custodians.

  • Support the implementation of data governance initiatives, process automation, and system enhancements.

  • Monitor data quality controls, ensuring compliance with firm and regulatory standards.

  • Participate in testing and validation for new system releases, upgrades, or integrations.

  • A leading global asset manager is seeking a Security Master Associate to join its Data Operations and Investment Support team. This role sits at the center of the firm’s trading and investment infrastructure—responsible for ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of all security reference data across multiple asset classes and systems.

If you’re the kind of person who can spot a data discrepancy faster than most people spot their morning coffee, this is your arena. You’ll work directly with portfolio management, trading, risk, compliance, and technology teams to maintain a clean and reliable investment universe that drives smarter decisions firmwide.

    What You’ll Do

    • Maintain and oversee the Security Master database, ensuring timely setup, validation, and updates across equities, fixed income, derivatives, and alternative instruments.

    • Verify pricing sources, identifiers, classifications, and static data for new and existing securities.

    • Collaborate with portfolio managers, traders, risk, and operations to resolve data discrepancies and ensure system-wide consistency.

    • Coordinate with data vendors (Bloomberg, ICE, Refinitiv, etc.) to validate attributes and correct errors in real time.

    • Support daily operational workflows related to instrument setup, corporate actions, and valuation processes.

    • Work with technology teams to enhance data management processes, automation, and quality controls.

    • Participate in testing for system upgrades, integrations, and data model improvements.

    • Monitor data integrity through exception reports, perform reconciliations, and escalate anomalies proactively.

    What You Bring

    • 2–5 years of experience in security master, reference data, or investment operations at an asset manager, fund administrator, or custodian.

    • Strong understanding of financial instruments (equities, fixed income, derivatives, ETFs, structured products).

    • Familiarity with data vendors and market identifiers (CUSIP, ISIN, SEDOL, Bloomberg Tickers, etc.).

    • Proficiency in Excel, SQL, and data management tools; Python or VBA skills are a plus.

    • Keen eye for detail, analytical mindset, and a genuine obsession with data accuracy.

    • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to liaise across investment, operations, and technology teams.

    • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or Information Systems required.

    Why It’s Worth a Conversation

    • Be the gatekeeper of data quality at one of the world’s most respected asset managers.

    • Exposure to front, middle, and back-office functions—ideal for someone looking to build an institutional career path.

    • Work with cutting-edge data tools and a team that values precision, efficiency, and collaboration.

    • Competitive compensation, growth opportunities, and a chance to influence how the firm’s investment data ecosystem evolves.
