    Job Summary

    FULL-TIME DAYS

    The Security Manager plans and directs the personal, financial and operational activities for the security operations within facility. The Security Manager ensures a safe and secure working environment for all facility employees, patients, visitors and physicians in accordance with facility policies and regulatory requirements. Other related duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    MINIMUM EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in law enforcement, security management, criminal justice or a discipline requiring high levels of communication and analytical skill, or equivalent combination of education and/or related experience.

    MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: Three or more years in a progressively more responsible leadership role.

    PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: Prefer experience in a law enforcement, prior security or military role.

    REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE:

    • Requires the ability to obtain, and maintain, appropriate state license/certifications for this position.
    • Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) within 60 days of employment or transfer date into the department;
    • Must have active healthcare provider Basic Life Support on hire (ARC or AHA); however, must have AHA Healthcare Provider BLS within 60 days of hire..
    • Must maintain a valid state driver's license.
    • Is able to meet all associated DPS Company Representative requirements in accordance with the Texas Commission on Private Security within 60 days of hire.

    OTHER POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

    • Ability to perform continuous physical exertion activities (going up and down multiple flights of stairs, standing and walking for extended periods of time, carrying people in emergency situations, etc.), as needed.
    • Must meet all physical requirements of the job. This could require an annual physical;
    • Must be able to perform duties wearing personal protective equipment (Masks, gowns, security-related equipment, etc.), as required;
    • Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check, as well as an annual background check;
    • Effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills with ability to deal with all levels of personnel and the public in a professional and effective manner.
