    TradeSTAR is seeking an experienced Security Lead Technician for long-term commercial electronic security projects with one of our valued client partners in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.

    If you have strong hands-on experience with access control, CCTV/video surveillance, intrusion detection, and integrated security systems and are ready to lead technicians in the field, this is an opportunity to take the next step in your career.

    You ll lead commercial installations and help keep projects moving safely, efficiently, and according to project specifications. Opportunities may include office buildings, healthcare facilities, schools, industrial facilities, data centers, and other large commercial environments throughout DFW.

    What You ll Do

    • Lead technicians on commercial electronic security installations and coordinate daily field activities

    • Install and service commercial access control systems, including card readers, request-to-exit devices, electric strikes, magnetic locks, door contacts, power supplies, and control panels

    • Install and troubleshoot CCTV and IP video surveillance systems

    • Install and support intrusion detection and alarm systems

    • Perform device installation, wiring, termination, testing, and system checkout

    • Integrate access control, surveillance, intrusion, and other security technologies

    • Pull, terminate, label, dress, and test low-voltage cabling

    • Read and interpret blueprints, floor plans, riser diagrams, wiring diagrams, and project documentation

    • Troubleshoot system, device, wiring, and connectivity issues

    • Assist with site surveys, material coordination, and project planning

    • Maintain accurate installation documentation and system records

    • Provide hands-on guidance and mentorship to Helpers, Apprentices, and Level I III Technicians

    • Communicate project progress, challenges, and material needs with project leadership

    • Ensure installations meet company quality standards, manufacturer requirements, applicable codes, and jobsite safety requirements

    What We re Looking For

    • 4+ years of commercial electronic security or low-voltage experience preferred

    • Previous experience leading technicians or taking ownership of security installations

    • Strong hands-on experience with commercial access control systems

    • Experience installing and troubleshooting CCTV/IP video surveillance systems

    • Familiarity with intrusion detection and alarm systems

    • Experience with platforms and manufacturers such as Lenel, HID, Honeywell, or similar systems

    • Understanding of access control hardware, locking devices, power supplies, relays, inputs/outputs, and system architecture

    • Ability to troubleshoot using multimeters, cable testers, and other industry tools

    • Ability to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, risers, and technical documentation

    • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

    • Ability to communicate effectively with technicians, project leadership, and other trades

    • Strong organizational and leadership skills

    • Valid driver s license and reliable transportation

    • Flexibility to support project schedules when occasional evenings or weekends are required
