Overview:
Primary purpose:
This position is responsible for providing the facility with physical and personal security
Essential duties and responsibilities:
Accounting for all people entering the facility
Roving patrol to ensure security of the facility
Monitoring marine radio for interfacing with ships entering the port
Performing safety orientation for visitors/3rd parties
Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license
Responsibilities:
Minimum requirements:
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent
Honorable discharge from the military
3 years of security experience
Experience / specific knowledge:
The ability to work from written and verbal instructions
Positively interact with customers and respond to customer inquiries
Able to work with a team and adhere to required work schedules
Attention to detail
1 year of physical security experience
Overtime may be required
Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft applications (Word, Outlook, Excel, etc.)
Use internet for information gathering
Flexible schedule to work required shifts (24-hour operation)
Maintain professional composure other duties as assigned
Certifications, licenses, registrations:

Competencies, skills, and abilities:
High level of attention to detail
Self-motivated with ability to complete projects with minimum direction
Team player
Physical demands:
Must be capable of occasional lifting and carrying of up to 25lbs
Working conditions:
Must be capable of sitting /standing for extended periods of time
Must have manual/metal dexterity to operate telephones, 2-way radios, calculators and computers

Preferred education, experience, certifications, competencies, skills, and abilities:
Above the minimum requirements; not required but advantageous in this position:
Military police experience preferred
