Description

Duration: 12+ months
Compensation: $75-85/hr W2
Location: Remote with 30% client travel (reimbursed)
 
Responsibilities

  • Design, build and deploy scalable cloud security solutions that address complex customer requirements across regulated and public-sector environments.

  • Own security engineering projects from strategy and design through coding, testing, launch and ongoing support.

  • Evaluate security risks, conduct security assessments and design reviews, and apply threat-modeling practices.

  • Develop production code, reusable assets, reference architectures, automation and security best practices.

  • Define long-term security strategies and roadmaps for complex infrastructure and security challenges.

  • Partner with customers and cross-functional teams to influence security designs, risk decisions and project outcomes.

  • Implement automated deployment practices using CI/CD, GitOps, Terraform or Ansible.

Requirements

  • Active U.S. Government TS/SCI security clearance required

  • 5+ years of experience with large-scale systems architecture, distributed systems or global infrastructure deployment.

  • Experience with operating systems, software-defined networking, identity and access management and/or Kubernetes.

  • 2+ years of security engineering, computer security, network security and security-protocol experience.

  • 5+ years of coding experience in one or more general-purpose programming languages.

  • Hands-on experience securing solutions on GCP, AWS or Azure.

  • Experience delivering security solutions through design, coding, configuration and deployment.

  • Knowledge of threat modeling, incident response and frameworks such as NIST 800-53, NIST 800-171, ITSG-33, C5, ISM or ISO.

  • Experience with infrastructure automation tools such as Terraform or Ansible and deployment models such as CI/CD and GitOps.
