Job Title: Security Architect – Consultant (Cloud Engineer) (13017

Work Arrangement: Hybrid – first week onsite, followed by approximately 3 onsite days per month
Contract Duration: 12 months

Candidate Requirement:No South Carolina residency required. Open to nationwide candidates; must be able to work eastern time zone hours. All travel-related costs for onsite work will be the responsibility of the resource, regardless of the frequency of onsite work.
Key Responsibilities- Support daily operations and migrations to AWS and Azure cloud infrastructure.
- Perform system administration, automation, and development activities for the Cloud Management Platform.
- Work with Department of Technology Operations personnel and customer teams to facilitate cloud migrations.
- Maintain the availability and continuity of shared services across AWS and Azure.
- Support cloud governance, security, networking, identity management, cost controls, and platform operations.
- Provide technical leadership, documentation, mentoring, and knowledge transfer to internal teams.
Required Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Systems.
- 8+ years of technical architecture experience with relevant hands-on engineering experience.
- 10+ years of experience in infrastructure, systems engineering, DevOps, or architecture.
- 8+ years of technical architecture experience.
- 5–7 years of AWS experience, including:
- IAM
- AWS Organizations
- Cloud networking architecture
- Cost-management controls
- 3–5 years of Azure experience, including:
- RBAC
- Azure Active Directory
- Cloud networking architecture
- Cost-management controls
- 3–7 years of enterprise cloud architecture or cloud governance experience.
- 3–5 years of Terraform and Infrastructure as Code experience.
- 3–5 years of cloud migration and platform operations experience.
- 3+ years of technical leadership and knowledge-transfer experience.
- Strong public-cloud infrastructure expertise.
Preferred Qualifications- AWS and/or Microsoft Azure certifications.
- Advanced Terraform and Infrastructure as Code expertise.
- Experience designing scalable cloud technologies and solutions.
- Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, or other container platforms.
- Knowledge of cloud security, penetration testing, and threat-detection tools.
- Experience with ServiceNow, Datadog, Dome9, and/or Aviatrix.
- Background in DevOps, software development, Site Reliability Engineering, or systems engineering.
- Experience with configuration management and continuous deployment.
Onsite ExpectationsThe consultant must be onsite during the first week to become familiar with the team and environment. After the first week, the consultant should expect approximately three onsite days per month, with the remaining work performed remotely. The onsite schedule will be coordinated with the manager after the consultant starts
