Security And Low Voltage Install Technician II

Convergentz, a division of Hunton Group, has a new and exciting opportunity to join our organization as a Security & Low Voltage (SLV) Install Technician Level 1-3. The selected candidate will be responsible for installation of structured cabling, security solutions, and other low voltage solutions for new construction projects and existing customer locations. Responsibilities

• Responsible for installing and servicing products and equipment on assigned projects and ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Uses a variety of hand tools and laptop computers, following blueprints or engineering specifications, to install, diagnose, repair, and program HVAC equipment.
• Prepares for on-site installation and repairs by examining building layout, anticipating difficulties, gathering materials and coordinating on-site work, as necessary.
• Maintains equipment by inspecting for signs of wear (maladjustment, miscalibration, malfunction, and drift).
• Terminate network cables (Cat5, Cat 6/a, fiber, etc.)
• Setup and terminate network racks, trays, and all associated equipment in rack.
• Documents work by completing paperwork on each job and maintaining files.
• Creation of checklists/punch lists throughout construction project process.
• Represents company by serving as a direct customer contact.
• Supports SLV Technicians by providing field support.
• Utilizes project plans to prioritize and schedule work.
• Determines parts to order for repairs and timeliness of need.
• Work as part of a team or team lead.
