Birmingham Public Schools is seeking a Secretary to the Supervisor of the Midvale Early Childhood Center.
This is an 11-month, full-time (40 hours per week) position.
Qualifications
- Ability to communicate effectively with staff, and students and promote positive human relations with the community
- Ability to effectively prioritize long-term projects and daily responsibilities
- Excellent attendance record
- Strong organizational skills, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Proficiency in the use of software such as PowerSchool, Frontline, Google Suite, and Microsoft Office Suite
- Must maintain accurate budget and office records
- Capacity to cope with widely varying job assignments, ranging from basic and repetitious to complex. Flexibility and adjustment of daily schedules are a must
- Must possess the ability to work well under pressure with accuracy and minimum supervision
- Commitment to maintaining confidentially specific to all student/school-related matters
- Secretarial experience preferred
- College or university coursework preferred
