POSITION PURPOSE:
Provides direct support and secretarial duties for Senior Director for Testing. Responsible for scheduling, writing correspondence, emailing, providing customer service to visitors, routing phone calls, processing staff time records, and responding to inquiries and requests.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Performs secretarial duties while prioritizing and completing tasks in a timely manner. Provides administrative support to Senior Director for Testing and other Testing Office staff. Maintains paper and electronic files, visitor logs, and a variety of other records. Organizes and assists with logistics of various meetings for and within the department. Monitors and processes time records for Testing Office staff including leave requests and reports; processes travel reimbursement requests for departmental staff and School Testing Coordinators. Generates effective correspondence, presentations, reports, and other documents, as directed. Monitors and secures front entrance to the Testing Office. Supports budget processes for the department in collaboration with other staff. Performs other related duties, as assigned.
WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
This position operates in a professional office environment and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, scanners, and copiers. The position, at times, must be able to come into direct contact with school system staff, staff members of external funding agencies, and the community. Work is considered light physical work, requiring the exertion of up to ten pounds of force. The work may require driving automotive equipment.
