    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    In this role you will be:

    • Managing the nursing department payroll.
    • Managing telephone and written communication.
    • Demonstrating excellent secretarial and problem solving and shorthand/speedwriting skills.
    • Performing clerical functions relative to the operation of the nursing administration department.
    • Coordinating day-to-day nurse staffing/scheduling as needed.
    • Utilizing excellent interpersonal communication skills to communicate with patients, families, visitors, and the healthcare team.
    • Utilizing modern office equipment such as fax machines, copiers, calculators, computers, and printers.
    • Working in an abstract work environment and multitasking.
    • Recording minutes of various committees and meetings.
    • Working and maintaining composure during peak activity levels and effectively adjusting the work schedule during emergency/unusual situations.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    Required:

    • EDUCATION:

    • High school diploma or equivalent required

    • Graduate of a business secretarial school or experience

    • EXPERIENCE:

    • Payroll and kronos experience preferred

    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite preferred
