    Job Description:

    West Hartford Public Schools seeks an outstanding candidate for the position of Clerk II at King Philip Middle School. The Clerk II supports the school community by providing a welcoming environment and clerical support to staff members and students. This is a 12-month position with full benefits.

    Qualifications:

    • Prior school office/clerical experience highly desirable.
    • Proficient computer skills in Google platform documents, Power School/Student Management system experience with electronic communications/newsletters preferred.
    • Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
    • Ability to prioritize and manage projects in a fast-paced environment.
    • Ability to perform responsibly, interact with staff and public in a self-reliant, courteous, and professional manner, and maintain confidentiality.
    • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

    Duties: Duties for this position include, but are not limited to the following:

    • Staff attendance records
    • Daily staff coverage
    • Transcripts and Residency: Including entries and withdrawals, records release & Residency inquiries
    • Assumes responsibility for data entry and retrieval.
    • Maintain files and records.
    • Update/Maintain master and school calendars and room reservations information
    • Create and maintain PowerSchool forms and approvals
    • School Transportation Liaison.
    • General Assistance with phone, staff, and students
