PGS Worldwide is seeking Secret-Cleared RMF Cyber Systems Engineers in San Antonio, Texas for a one-year onsite contract-to-hire role supporting a leading aerospace & defense company. These positions will perform cybersecurity Systems Engineering for complex defense systems, with a particular focus on cyber survivability, requirements development, Risk Management Framework activities, system architecture, and security verification.
Required Skills
- Intermediate track: Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years, master’s degree with 3+ years, or Ph.D. with 1+ year of experience in Systems Engineering, Cybersecurity Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
- Senior track: Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years, master’s degree with 6+ years, or Ph.D. with 4+ years of relevant experience.
- Active DoD Secret clearance required.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance.
- Ability to obtain required program Special Access.
- U.S. citizenship required.
- Ability to obtain an IASAE II certification within six months of hire in accordance with DoDI 8570/8140; CISSP preferred.
- Direct experience applying NIST SP 800-160 Systems Security Engineering principles and/or related system-development lifecycle practices.
- Direct experience developing RMF assessment and authorization artifacts in accordance with NIST SP 800-37.
- Experience with system requirements decomposition, derivation, flow-down, and traceability.
- Experience in one or more Systems Engineering lifecycle areas including architecture, design, implementation, integration and test, or verification and validation.
- Strong understanding of Systems Engineering and cybersecurity principles.
Preferred Skills
- IASAE Level III certification such as ISSEP or ISSAP.
- Active Top Secret/SCI clearance.
- Model-Based Systems Engineering experience using Cameo or similar tools.
- Requirements management experience using IBM DOORS.
- Software Assurance experience.
- Experience with containerized software systems and DoD DevSecOps environments.
- Experience developing cybersecurity strategies, System Security Plans, Continuous Monitoring Plans, and Security Assessment Plans.
- Knowledge of network technologies, DoD development lifecycles, and cybersecurity accreditation processes.
- Experience working in Agile and DevSecOps environments.
What You’ll Do
- Assess cybersecurity requirements and decompose, derive, and refine requirements throughout the system architecture.
- Support implementation of built-in cybersecurity protections within complex system designs.
- Develop and evaluate cybersecurity architectures and security-control implementations.
- Perform attack-surface analysis and identify technical security risks.
- Develop and support RMF assessment and authorization artifacts.
- Support cybersecurity governance, risk management, and security verification activities.
- Evaluate proposed and implemented designs to verify cybersecurity protections are properly integrated.
- Participate in cybersecurity assessments, technical reviews, and penetration-test planning.
- Provide cybersecurity guidance to multidisciplinary engineering teams.
- Ensure systems comply with applicable cybersecurity standards and contractual requirements.
- Support system integration, verification and validation, technical reviews, and test events.
- Solve complex multidisciplinary problems within Agile and DevSecOps environments.

- Full-time onsite in San Antonio, Texas.
