PGS Worldwide is seeking Secret-Cleared MBSE Cyber Systems Engineers in San Antonio, Texas for a one-year onsite contract-to-hire role supporting a leading aerospace & defense company. These positions will apply Model-Based Systems Engineering and cybersecurity engineering principles to the architecture, requirements, integration, verification, and protection of complex defense systems operating in highly secure environments.

Required Skills

  • Intermediate track: Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years, master’s degree with 3+ years, or Ph.D. with 1+ year of experience in Systems Engineering, Cybersecurity Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline; OR 9+ years of cyber systems engineering experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Senior track: Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years, master’s degree with 6+ years, or Ph.D. with 4+ years of relevant experience; OR 14+ years of cyber systems engineering experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Active DoD Secret clearance required.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance.
  • U.S. citizenship required.
  • Ability to obtain an IASAE II certification within six months of hire in accordance with DoDI 8570/8140; CISSP preferred.
  • Experience applying Model-Based Systems Engineering to develop and model system requirements.
  • Experience managing requirements or Systems Engineering artifacts using DOORS, Cameo, JIRA, or similar tools.
  • Experience with systems requirements decomposition, derivation, flow-down, and traceability.
  • Experience in one or more Systems Engineering lifecycle areas including architecture, design, implementation, integration and test, or verification and validation.
  • Strong understanding of Systems Engineering principles, theories, and practices.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience developing complex aerospace or defense system architectures using MBSE and SysML.
  • OMG SysML Model User Certification.
  • IASAE Level III certification such as ISSEP or ISSAP.
  • Active Top Secret/SCI clearance.
  • RMF and NIST SP 800-37 authorization experience.
  • Software Assurance or containerized software experience.
  • Experience with DoD DevSecOps environments.
  • Experience developing cybersecurity strategies, System Security Plans, Continuous Monitoring Plans, or Security Assessment Plans.

What You’ll Do

  • Develop and manage cybersecurity requirements and system architectures.
  • Apply MBSE techniques to model requirements, interfaces, architectures, and technical relationships.
  • Design cybersecurity architecture changes with traceability to system requirements.
  • Provide cybersecurity implementation guidance to multidisciplinary engineering teams.
  • Perform cyber attack-surface analysis and recommend risk-reduction strategies.
  • Participate in technical reviews involving system requirements, computer architectures, communications systems, and networked equipment.
  • Support cybersecurity assessments, penetration-test planning, and verification activities.
  • Ensure system designs comply with applicable DoD cybersecurity requirements and standards.
  • Solve complex multidisciplinary engineering problems within Agile and DevSecOps environments.
  • Support engineering reviews, technical decisions, program milestones, and system test activities.

Work Schedule / Shift

  • Monday–Friday.
  • Full-time onsite in San Antonio, Texas.

Pay

  • $128.07 per hour.
