PGS Worldwide is seeking a Secret-Cleared Electronics Technician in Lexington, Kentucky for a one-year onsite contract-to-hire role supporting a leading aerospace & defense company. This 2nd-shift position will perform routine electronics maintenance, troubleshooting, component replacement, wiring, and testing using common electrical test equipment.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Interim Secret clearance or higher required to start.
- Basic knowledge of electrical and electronic systems.
- Experience troubleshooting electrical or electronic equipment.
- Ability to replace electronic components and perform basic wiring activities.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics.
- Knowledge of basic mechanical and electrical concepts.
- Ability to follow detailed technical instructions and established procedures.
- Experience taking electrical test measurements using common test equipment.
- Ability to work accurately under technical supervision.
- U.S. citizenship required.
Preferred Skills
- 1–2 years of electrical, electronics, or related technical experience.
- Electrical harness fabrication experience.
- Aviation maintenance experience.
- Experience using digital multimeters.
- Experience using oscilloscopes, signal generators, semiconductor testers, or curve tracers.
- Familiarity with applicable electrical standards.
What You’ll Do
- Perform routine electronics maintenance and repair activities.
- Replace electronic components and repair basic electronic equipment.
- Wire electrical and electronic circuits.
- Troubleshoot electrical and electronic systems using established procedures.
- Take test readings using digital multimeters and other electronic test instruments.
- Use oscilloscopes, signal generators, semiconductor testers, curve tracers, and similar equipment as required.
- Follow detailed technical instructions and maintenance procedures.
- Read and work from electrical schematics and technical documentation.
- Perform assigned work under the guidance of supervisors and higher-level technicians.
- Verify completed work for accuracy and compliance with applicable requirements.
Work Schedule / Shift
- Full-time onsite in Lexington, Kentucky.
- 2nd Shift.
- 4x10 schedule, Monday–Thursday.
Pay
- $33.26 per hour.
- Overtime eligible.
