Description

The Secondary Markets Specialist independently performs operational, analytical, and coordination activities supporting mortgage loan sales, investor commitments, pipeline hedging, and loan delivery. The role applies knowledge of investor requirements and secondary market practices to effectively hedge pipeline risk, including TBA trading, while ensuring accurate execution, risk management, and strong portfolio performance.

Here's what you can expect from the job and what you need to be successful:

What You'll Do:

• Execute assigned secondary market activities related to loan commitments, pricing, and delivery.
• Analyze loan data, investor guidelines, and market information to support operational decisions.
• Ability to manage and hedge a held for sale pipeline, including TBA trading.
• Coordinate with internal partners to address delivery conditions, documentation issues, or execution discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate records, commitment details, and transaction documentation.
• Monitor loan pipelines and identify risks, delays, or exceptions requiring resolution.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, investor requirements, and internal controls.
• Support investor communications related to delivery requirements and issue resolution.
• Contribute to process improvements, training materials, or procedural updates.
• Experience building dashboards with Tableau

Essential Skills:

• Required Experience: 2 - 4 years in secondary mortgage operations, capital markets, or financial services.
• Working knowledge of loan sales, investor delivery, and mortgage market concepts.
• Strong problem‑solving and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Required Education: Bachelors degree in field relevant to role (or 4 additional years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree)

Location: Hillsboro Corporate Office | Hillsboro OR 97124 OR Marlborough Corporate Office | Marlborough, MA

Work Arrangement: Hybrid, with a minimum of 3 days per week in office

Target Compensation: $66,500.00 to $79,500.00 + annual bonus
