SEC Reporting Manager Responsibilities



  • Lead the preparation of SEC filings, including Forms 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, and other required disclosures

  • Prepare financial statements, footnotes, management discussion and analysis, and supporting documentation

  • Manage disclosure checklists, reporting calendars, and internal review processes

  • Support IPO readiness efforts and the development of public-company reporting infrastructure

  • Research and document complex technical accounting matters under U.S. GAAP

  • Prepare technical accounting memoranda and communicate conclusions to leadership

  • Assist with accounting for equity transactions, stock-based compensation, debt, revenue recognition, and other complex areas

  • Partner with accounting and finance leadership on the month-end and quarter-end close

  • Coordinate with external auditors, legal counsel, consultants, and other third-party advisors

  • Support the design, implementation, and documentation of internal controls over financial reporting

  • Help establish scalable policies, procedures, and reporting workflows

  • Ensure financial reporting is accurate, complete, and delivered within established deadlines

  • Remain actively involved in detailed schedules, reconciliations, tie-outs, and supporting documentation



SEC Reporting Manager Qualifications



  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

  • CPA required or strongly preferred

  • Approximately 5+ years of progressive accounting experience

  • Public accounting experience strongly preferred

  • SEC reporting or public-company financial reporting experience required

  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting requirements

  • Experience with IPO readiness, technical accounting, or SOX compliance is highly preferred

  • Strong analytical, project-management, and written communication skills

  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced and evolving environment

  • Willingness to work at both the strategic and detailed execution levels
