Position Overview:

The selected candidate will be provided with a company vehicle and gas card to perform the duties of this position.

We are seeking a detail-oriented As-Built Project Coordinator to support underground natural gas construction projects by ensuring field activity, materials, and construction changes are accurately documented throughout the project lifecycle.

This position serves as an important connection between field operations and project management, helping maintain accurate, field-verified as-built records for project closeout and invoicing. Depending on customer requirements, documentation may be verified through manual field measurements or GPS data collection tools and software.

The ideal candidate brings underground construction or natural gas industry experience, strong Excel skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively with field and project teams.

Essential Responsibilities

• Review field daily reports, identify billable items, and maintain accurate project tracking sheets.
• Prepare and update as-built drawings reflecting newly installed underground natural gas facilities as construction progresses.
• Field-verify daily reports and construction information to ensure accuracy.
• Review and monitor project materials throughout construction.
• Maintain accurate documentation of project revisions, redlines, field changes, and inspector information.
• Prepare and submit accurate as-built drawings to support weekly invoicing.
• Reconcile project totals and materials utilized.
• Work closely with field personnel and project leadership to resolve documentation discrepancies and maintain accurate project records.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2+ years of underground construction experience.
• Previous natural gas industry experience.
• Demonstrated knowledge of successful project management practices.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Valid driver's license.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Strong work ethic and willingness to contribute within a team environment.
• Ability to take personal responsibility for assigned work and follow projects through completion.

Physical & Field Requirements

This position combines project coordination with field activity and requires the ability to work in active construction environments.

• Ability to work extended hours, including day, night, or weekend shifts when project requirements dictate.
• Ability to walk, stand, reach, stoop, grasp, balance, climb, kneel, and crouch.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently.
• Ability to climb a minimum of five rungs on an extension ladder.
• Ability to travel to project sites, typically within a four-hour radius of the home office.
• Ability to work outdoors and in environments involving changing weather conditions, noise, vibration, and typical construction-site hazards.
