Seasonal Winter Grounds Worker

General Mitchell Airport

Hourly Pay Range: $13.36 - $20.04

Job Summary: The Airport Seasonal Grounds Worker is responsible for performing snow‑removal operations on a seasonal basis. Areas of responsibility for snow removal to include on and off the airfield and in the public areas of the Airport.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Operate motorized vehicles with snow removal attachments
• Operate walk behind snow removal equipment (Snow Blowers)
• Remove snow with hand tools

Minimum Requirements:

• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Current valid Wisconsin Driver's license
• Must have a Highschool Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
• Must be able to Lift/Carry and to Push/Pull up to 60 lbs
• Must be able to work long hours during adverse weather.

NOTE: This original application is open to permanent residents of the United States. Appointee must establish residency in the state of Wisconsin within six months of start date and maintain such residency during incumbency. In accordance with Section 11, Rule 3 of the Civil Service Rules a non-competitive examination will be held for this position. The non-competitive examination will consist of criteria deemed appropriate by the Director of Human Resources.
